HOW CAN WE MAKE SENSE OUT OF LEARNING

Various Learning Connotations

It is always fun to learn new things especially if a person has never experienced them before.  This blog is a good example of something I am learning to do and I must say it is rather fun.

I believe that there are so many connotations to learning that my blog The World of Learning Styles will engage the audience and add a different touch to the way we teach and also learn.  My feelings on concepts of learning styles is that an educator needs to be able to engage all learning styles as they teach.  This however becomes difficult but necessary to better assist an adult learner.

In my blog, as I move forward I will have various connotations, tests, games and while one concept may be of interest to you, it may not suit someone else.  I challenge each of you as you continue searching my blog to comment on my challenge questions.  I welcome all comments to better my understanding of learning styles.

One quote I will leave you with:  I BELIEVE THAT EVERY DAY IS A CHANCE TO TOUCH SOMEONE'S LIFE.

Be that person to touch someone's life and make it better.

  1. I love how you said that teaching other learning styles in your class may be difficult but is necessary. I think that we didn't become teachers to stand up in front of a class and preach knowledge but to teach knowledge to students.

If a teacher can step back and see if they are preaching and make the move to begin to teach again. It would make the world of education so much more exciting for the student and the teacher.

  2. Hey Barbara, I see you figgured this blog thing out. Sorry I didn't respond to your question (on the discussion board) I just now saw it.
You did a great job getting started. No doubt you will enjoy it. Like a class room training, it's more fun when you know someone is out there listening. :)

  3. You did a great job!! I think you are right in that we have the opportunity to touch someone's life everyday & that by getting caught up in the everyday monotony of teaching, we miss that opportunity. Good point, your blog looks great!
